Release in Review

We've made it to the finish line for the November 2014 Papertrey Ink Release! Thanks for joining in the fun and excitement all week long. Before we wrap it up completely, I'm popping in here to share the rest of my projects with you.

A Cheerful Heart: My use of the envelope and letter from Niblet Notes was entirely inspired by this particular sentiment in A Cheerful Heart. Tone on tone Copic coloring on the envelopes give them some dimension. The postage line stamp from Postmarks was stamped on the edges in Soft Stone Ink.

Fair Isle Motifs and Birthday Classics December: Two tones of embossing powder brings out the wonderful details of the Fair Isle Motifs. Colors are very subtle otherwise, with the use of Ocean Tides, Smokey Shadow, Aqua Mist, and Pinefeather. Perfect to reflect for cool undertones that come with the winter season.

Pom Pom Pals and Holiday Thank You: These two sets are a perfect match together! I added just bits and pieces of color against a largely white background. Don't feel like coloring in the whole image from Pom Pom Pals? The perfect solution is to just color a little. By coloring the background space around Rudolph grey, the almost all white reindeer really stands out.

Instead of going with a pom pom, I used my Copics to color the nose. I added the Wink of Stella Pen and then a dome of Glossy Accents to give it that shine that you'd expect from this little guy.

Mat Stack 7 Basics and Floral Flap Dies: These look so good together. All those angles really work to make a dynamic card with little effort.

Happy New Year: It was fun to layer all these elements with Just Smile and Framed Out #3 frames. All stamping, no extra bling. Nice to do that every now and again.

Keep It Simple: Happy New Years: The inside of the Happy New Year Card has the same sentiment stamped repeatedly in the same colors used on the front.

Type Strips: There is a lot to love in the November release, but the Type Strips get my vote for most favorite. So very clever how they work. There are a ton of sentiments in the PTI collection that are multi-step. Use the Type Strips to add some color to one of the steps in those particular sets, like I did in a sentiment from Building Blocks. You can even change it up a bit. This sentiment is supposed to say, "A party without cake is just a meeting". I changed the "cake" to "cupcake" match my theme.

Phrase Play #7: This particular phrase play really begs to be colored and blended with Copics.

And that's a wrap! All these products and more will be available tonight at 10 PM EST at www.papertreyink.com. More inspiration from the design team below:
